to Completion

Our CNC turning process

Design

The process begins with the creation of a digital design or CAD (Computer-Aided Design) model of the part to be produced. This design contains detailed specifications of the dimensions and features of the final product.

Tool Selection

The appropriate cutting tools are selected based on the material and design specifications. These tools are mounted on the tool turret or tool post of the CNC lathe.

Material Selection

A suitable material, often metal or plastic, is chosen based on the requirements of the final part. The selected material is then secured in the CNC lathe.

CNC Programming

A CNC programmer creates a program that guides the CNC machine in terms of tool movements, cutting speeds, and depths. This program is usually generated from the CAD design and contains the instructions needed to shape the workpiece.

Workpiece Mounting

The workpiece, which is the raw material that will be machined, is mounted securely onto the spindle of the CNC lathe. The spindle rotates the workpiece at high speeds.

Setup

The CNC machine is set up, and the operator loads the CNC program into the machine`s computer. Additionally, the cutting tools are positioned and aligned with the workpiece.
